I cant believe Im the first to post what an important date this is. Hard to believe its been 17 years. I have Brent on the brain. When I leave work here shortly,I plan on diving into the deep end for the rest of the night. Might sound flakey but I will start with the final "Good Times" for purely selfish, sentimental reasons. Would any of you kynd people share some of your favorite versions of Brent tunes? An explosive Woman Smarter or Pocky...a decent Blow Away perhaps...or any other spine shattering solos would be appreciated. thanx and RIP Mr. Mydland PS I apologize if this repeats...I am new to the forum :)

Check out his subtle backing on Candyman on 7.31.82. Simply beautiful. And Brent does his Little Red Rooster jive. Love it every time. This is pure Brent to me...

Hey there, little red rooster
You ain't sh!t to me
You think you're a stud, boy
Well I doubt, I doubt you'll ever be
While you're away, I'm gonna fvck with your henhouse
I'm just being neighborly

One of my favorite shows...

A really good Brent night. Blow Away is super hot, Fantasy/Hey Jude, Let the Good Times Roll and really strong backing vocals throughout. He had that crazy Pentecostal minister delivery this night. All around a pretty decent show too, not exceptional but solid.

The Blow Away from Dominguez Hills 5.6.90 is really hot. It was 100+ degrees that day and this version is as hot as the day was. It's also the last time I saw Brent.

4/3/86 Hartford - "Don't Need Love" 2nd-to-last performance out of Playin .. very passionate rendition including "Fuckin hell don't need you!" in the final vocal.

3/16/90 Cap Centre - "Blow Away" this is one that brings shivers to my spine..incredibly soulful and inspirational version.

7/18/90 Deer Creek - "Easy To Love You" absolutely perfect, beautiful version of this classic..so glad Brent broke this song back out in 1990 (3/15/90 was the breakout - also worth a listen).

Well I hate to admit this. But this is one of the last and only times I got to see Brent. If I can only hold the moment like I can hold the ticket stub...I am resonding to the 7-18-90
